The secret is revealed!
TW's Cymbal Sound
what in the world are you talking about ?
BosLover
BINGO! Many are looking for his K sound but probably don't take into account the sticks he used...
That's why many of us use Vic Firth AJ6's when we want our old Ks to really shine. They have a similar shape to these sticks, with a very narrow tapering neck. Drumaholic used to use them for his sound files. Maybe he still does.

That means,it is used to make Drumaholic signature sound

Yes. In an conversation with him a few years ago he indicated he used the AJ6's for sound files. I'm not sure if he still uses them or if he used them exclusively.
I still do...for soundfiles and everything else. Steve Maxwell, the man who has always known which sticks bring out the best in cymbals, uses them. And he's the one who influenced me to start using them. And I've been using them ever since.

They are wonderful sticks. My son uses them on dozens of gigs and shows where he has to be able to control volume and still be able to play out a bit. They are great behind vocals or a piano solo without overwhelming them. For these gigs he usually uses a medium weight 20" '50s trans stamp on the right side and a thinner 20" riveted Bosphorus Hammer crash/ride on the left. They both sound glorious with the AJ6's! These sticks also work especially well when his drums are mic'd. At other times though, the think neck and small tip don't cut it so he uses either John Riley's model (Zildjian sticks, but I believe now made for them by Vic Firth) or good old Vic Firth 5A's.

He's also holding the stick way back on the butt end. I do that naturally too but I don't play or sound like him, hehehe...
Yes AJ6(thanks Drumaholic for that tip years ago) is one of the best sounding ride sticks out there. I have a 22" 50's ride(2245g) that sounds it's best with a 5a vic firth wood tip, don't know why but it controls that cymbal better than anything else I've tried and I only like that stick with that cymbal???? I also dig the Peter Erskine ride with the pointed wood tip similar to the AJ6 only beefier.
