Thats a Gretsch 2B not made anymore

; they were re-issued by Gretsch in 2003 for a little while; it's in that years catalog along with 6 other repo's.

part number was GR-5DTW

The only 2B with that neck shape ( Zildjian TW stick isn't like it )

I asked Called Gretsch asking about another model, any way, they said the NJ company Capella was making the repos to the old spec. Capella.

From gSonor

He's also holding the stick way back on the butt end. I do that naturally too but I don't play or sound like him, hehehe...Yes AJ6(thanks Drumaholic for that tip years ago) is one of the best sounding ride sticks out there. I have a 22" 50's ride(2245g) that sounds it's best with a 5a vic firth wood tip, don't know why but it controls that cymbal better than anything else I've tried and I only like that stick with that cymbal???? I also dig the Peter Erskine ride with the pointed wood tip similar to the AJ6 only beefier. Gary

Yes the Peter Erskine Ride stick also makes cymbals sound great. The AJ6 is more or less a 7A with a thin tapered neck and tiny tip, whereas the Erskine Ride stick is more in the 5A family with a thicker neck and a somewhat barrel shaped tip tapered at both ends if I recall corectly. The AJ6 excels when used in small acoustic settings. the Ride stick is terrific for larger ensembles or in amplified settings.
