I know, I know! I have put these up in the past.. but! .. I literally just found this shot/view on a disc of pics that I thought had something else I was looking for. So much for that, but...
... the hopefully interesting thing here is, a completely different view/perspective of my '65 Rogers Buddy Rich Celebrity's. Rogers sets in this configuration are relatively "rare" to see/find, especially so as these are '65's. There are a LOT of NEW members here now.. ( WELCOME! ) .. so I thought I might take the liberty of putting these up. Here are the particulars:
14X24
9X13
16X16
16X16
5X14 wood/WMP Dynasonic
Complete/correct hardware
This shot was taken just prior to the curtain opening at a venue I was playing with the Frank Sinatra Show. What's neat I thought was the "driver's seat" view. Let me immediately address the Evans EMAD coated on the bass drum:
I play other gigs in addition to the Sinatra Show, thus I need the bass drum to be able to cover different styles, yet sound correct for all. This head set up covers that! Toms are ALL Remo Ambassador Vintage A's, and the Dynasonic is also a Remo Ambassador Vintage A. Lastly, as I'm sure someone is going to think/mention it:
Stick bag hanging on the floor tom: Indeed. Most probably a "slight" amount of "tone/resonance" robbing, but... negligible when part of a truly vintage set-up such as this. Hopefully you will ENJOY!!
