Ok, got them! They are actually really nice. The wrap is beautiful. I thought it was that metallic red they called Polychromatic red, but it is a beautiful red swirl of some type. They are like new. Let me get them out and clean them up and will start a new thread with pics. That snare looks nice but my wrap is not a sparkle.

Wow, that's really cheap for what are my favorite Premier shells. I've not had a Beverley kit but I think you'll find this kit is as good as anything from the era for a fraction of the price of the big name American brands. Well done.

Wiped them up and inspected them more closely. First the good news. They have all the original hardware, every tom, batter and reso side have the slotted tension rods. All bass drum lugs, Trods and hoops are in great shape.

The wrap is really nice with tight seams. it is a red swirl type pattern that doesnt really show up in the pics if anyone knows what that is called, but it is really nice looking. Keeps them from being plain red. Like a cherry wood or something. The badges are in excellent condition. The tom brackets and post, L arm is nice. Not stripped or anything. Everything holds great. The bass drum has the front and back spurs coming out from the bottom.

The toms have practically brand new coated Ambassadors on the batter and clear Ambassadors on the reso heads. So thats like $80 worth of heads right there I dont have to fool with. Now the not so good news. Just when you think something is to good to be true it usually is. The minore things. Not crazy about the Black dot heads, but thats no biggie. The straight spurs for the front were not there but I have some. Two screws that go on the floor tom leg mounts are missing. They have Two screws for each mount. Thats not a giant deal either, the mufflers are there, although the rods are missing and the guy tightened them inside the toms so they would not rattle I guess. I can get the part from the hardware store. but,,,,, Someone drilled the mounted toms, or actually cut away a space for some type mount then put the original tom mounts back on there. The mounts cover the holes but you can see the two screw heads by the mounts filling the holes. It's always something. They would have been nearly pristine if someone had not done that. Unless it was done at the factory for a different type set and they used them for the Beverlys ? The guy said he got them from the original owner who brought them here from England and the seller said he had never played them or done anything to them in the year and a half he has had them. I can tell they are still great sounding drums. They sound like my other Premiers. So for what I got them for, $200 plus it cost me $20 to drive to Melbourne, 138 miles round trip, plus the Rogers pedal and a brand new Tama throne, I guess I did ok. They still look great and are going to sound fantastic.

I will get some better pics up later. Blair or anyone know what year these could be and set in the catalog? Serial# 2786 and 5006 on mounted toms.

896 on the floor tom, and 1996 on the bass drum.
