They look great. I think with that hardware and Mahogany shells it will be early/mid 70s. That's as close as I can say.

Great score!>>I am jealous...

After you sell the extras...free drum kit for you! Must suck to be you!

They did Mahogany inners from roughly 1970-75....so has to be in there....

Sure don't see many Beverly's around...that's for sure..

I even have a Beverly small pamphlet type catalog here somewhere...but haven't seen it in a good long while :-(

BTW..they used the same Lokfast tom mount that came out in 1973 on Premiers for this kit..so narrows it down even more.....1973-75.....

Looks like it had Rogers Swivo mounts on the toms at 1 time...

Please remove one of the Lokfast mounts, and lets have a peek inside...

Interesting wrap. I am having a hard time picking up the swirl. I thought it might be sparkle from the first picture, but clearly it is not.

Congrats on the purchase.

Those are really really nice. $200 is great. That's a couple weeks worth of eating out. Love that ultra cool badge as well.

Thanks guys. I am soaking the tape residue in goo gone where there was a kick pad on the batter kick head to get that off and get a couple of felt strips on each side. I can eventually get a white reso head and find a Beverly logo for it if possible. There is really not a lot to do to them. I can eventually repaint the bass drum hoops but for now can touch them up with a sharpie. I usually strip all the drums and clean every part and screw but they are in pretty good shape now, and don't want to take that on right now. I will just clean them up and wipe the chrome rims and metal parts with some chrome cleaner and clean up the shells with a cloth and cleaner for now. I will eventually detail each drum meticulously. I use a quarter for a drum key since I don't have a slotted key. I am going to put the Rogers pedal on eBay unless someone here wants it. And hope I can sell that throne. Will try C.L. For the throne. I hate to break up the set by selling one of the 13" toms. I feel sure the set came like that the way the badges show when they are both mounted. Maybe I can get half my money back at least with the pedal and throne. Maybe put my PDP natural basswood kit on CL for $300. I refinished them and they are beautiful but between the PDP's and this Beverly kit, I think I will keep the Beverly's if I have to choose.

The Bass drum has 2 sets of spurs on the bottom and also mounts for long spurs on each side. I thought I had something that would work but not long enough. Those two sets of spurs keep it sitting solid though.

Oh, and the snare to get for this kit would be a Beverley Cosmic 21. I have the Premier version of this snare and it's just like a Supra but much cheaper to buy.

Ahhhh yes the Cosmic 21 copy of the Supraphonic 400. I was reading about those. I have a Olympic snare I can use for now or a Supraphonic. I will get some interior pics Blair. Interesting that they may have had Rogers mounts. And that Rogers pedal was with them. If they did they must have been mounted on a single double tom stand as the bass drum mount has not been tampered with. I like those blue badges too. I am definitely going to take these out on a gig one night. I doubt anyone around here has seen this make of drum. Although I played my Resonators out frequently last year. The inside of these drums look identical to my Resonators with the inserts removed. I have tuned them up and ohh my, these things sound great. Talk about resonance. These sound as good as my Resonators or better. I am just not crazy about mounting the toms on the bass drum. They sit a little high on the 24" Bass drum, but I don't have any problem playing them like that at all really.

These are definately pro drums. This pic are not mine but it is the same wrap. You can see on the floor tom how it is not just a plain red. I can't seem to capture it with my camera and lighting. There like trout studio's Druin white except mine is red.

These date from the Beverley period , when they became good again. Premier made upgraded Beverleys for Boosey&Hawkes after 1970, who, after ceasing production of Ajax continued to supply their market with B&H Beverley. It was an ingenious way of Premier accessing the Boosey&Hawkes dealer network and an ingenious way of Boosey&Hawkes managing to stay in the drum business and not compete with Premier. win-win.

The Beverley drums made between 1959 and 1970 were Olympics with another name but different lugs( often 5 and 6), not the equal of the Beverleys made by Deans & Son, which were 8 lug drums with diecast hoops. They were essentially maintained in the Beverley dealer network but designed to not compete with Premier drums----something the pre 1959 Beverleys did.

After 1979, B&H quit altogether and The Beverley production went back to Premier and became the Projector model.

Whatever colour they are you did really well. I'd love to find some old Beverly or Premier drums. The bloke I got my 22" Drouyn from says the wrap was made by Meazzi . . .
