I recently filed a challenge with my credit card company with respect to my purchase of a 13" drum case from Drummaker. I just received word that my challenge was approved. However, they also advised me to retain all records of communication, because if he challenges, the charge could be reinstated.

There must be a paper trail to stop this person, takes a few minutes to file. Thanks for voiceing your opinion it's the right thing to do.

It has been my experience that the BBB doesn't actually do much of anything. Sure if people ask the BBB, they might tell them something. But in cases like this, it is pretty rare that someone would ask the BBB before placing an order. More likely, since this sort of custom drum building is a fairly niche activity, they'd check here or on another drum forum. Between this forum and the one on DF.org, it seems that these discussions have already saved a few people from dropping their money down the rabbit hole.

I just got a PM from Andy. Too late - I already bought another snare case, so even on the outside chance that he could fill the order, I don't need the item anymore.

As far as I am concerned, the people who have supported his business have created the monster by allowing him to get away with this for as long as he has. He's fool enough to take advantage of there good nature. Best I can tell he started the no-show concept right at a year ago and has progressed ever since. Your PM will state he has moved the business and how long it took and how hard it was and how mutch it cost and how hot it was and how tired he got and on and on and on. It's always about him! As far as the BBB it's just another tool to use to create the paper trail needed. He knows what he's doing and knows how to work the system.

Haveing said that, here when we spend 115.55 and get ripped off we get a little hot and do something about it, could be considered a character flaw in your neck of the woods. Guys. I have a positive rating for buying from Andy. Ordered 2 sticksaver rims on October 14th, got email confirmations and order tracking number information. My order was pulled from stock on October 17th, shipped October 29th and received at my door October 31st. The rims were beauties, heavy chrome and just what I needed.
