Royal Star Drum Kits X 2 ( Breaking Spares)

Loading...

Had a good think about these two drum kits i bought recently. Basically i buy and sell worldwide mainly dealing in ROGERS....PREMIER....OLYMPIC KITS. These two combined i bought for £100 i believe that profit wise there is nothing in it. I dont collect kits i just restore and sell. Ive had a look on Ralfs website and these Royal star kits just aint there with this configuration and badges, makes me think that star just knocked these up and got rid. There are times like now that i feel that the best option is going to be to break the kits down and sell all the parts. Thanks sean.

Gotta say, those kits are great and I'd hate to see them broken up - and this from a guy who needs some of those parts.

That blue kit is a real looker!

Yes i agree both kits do look good and sound good. I dont want to break them down but seriously here in the UK no one wants them. I know that a lot of STAR enthusiasts would love to take pieces from these and pay good money. There is nothing rare or special to command big bucks in these kits. For instance recently i bought an olympic kit for £100 restored it sold it looking like show room condition and got £600 for it. Thanks....sean

LOOKING AT BOTH KITS FOR SPARES HOW MUCH WOULD ALL THE PARTS IN BITS AND PIECES GENERATE. THE REASON I ASK IS BECAUSE I WANT TO GIVE STAR DRUM LOVERS ON VDF THE CHANCE TO SNAP THE LOT UP. MY NEXT OPTION IS TO GO ONTO EBAY WORLDWIDE. I KNOW THE PARTS ARE MORE VALUABLE THAN BOTH KITS WHOLE. ....GIVE ME SOME FEEDBACK......THANKS....SEAN.Eye Ballhttp://www.vintagedrumforum.com/images/smilies/smiley-faces-28.gif

Hello Jurgen

Thanks for personal message but £250.00 wont buy 2 rare drum kits. Show me on here or any where 2 kits like mine with the round royal star badges. The silky red finish is rare in itself also we all know metallic blue is even more rare. Look on ralfs website how many royal star round badged kits on there....none....The 2 kits ralf has and the 1 kit you have were the last official royal star kits or as i say catalogue kits, to be produced. The 2 kits i have are special in the fact they put a limited amount of royal star badges on the slingy style and sharks tooth style kits as a way of saying goodbye here is the last of star and hello Tama. If i were selling the usual star kits that everyone on here has then yes £250 would be fair play, but not on special issue collectable kits like these........Thanks.....sean

p.s. EVERYONE LOOK ON RALFS WEBSITE GO TO TIMELINE AND YOU WILL GET THE PICTURE ABOUT WHAT DRUMS THE ROUND BADGE GOES ON. ALSO GOTO 1974 ROYAL STAR CATALOGUES SAME CONFIG AS MINE BUT ROUND BADGE NOT THE TAMA BADGE. ALL THE BIG COMPANIES GET RID OF OLD STOCK AND START NEW AND OFFER RARE LIMITED COLLECTIBLES. THAT IS WHY NO KITS ARE ANY WHERE TO BE SEEN LIKE MINE.

Hello Sean,

Frankly spoken, your words are a slap in the face.

I don't condemn your purposes. It's humanly und can be understood. Word.

But this excellent forum is a place where vintage drum LOVERS are around.

Some love to make (mostly a little) money with vintage drums - and there are also some (me included) who even made the experience of receiving spare parts even for completely free (in my case: from USA).

So it may happen, that I send spare parts for free, too, around the world, to give back what I've experienced.

It's up to you what you do with your property.

But the majority here will not sanction it, if you split all up.

You have asked me via email for some information about Star and I've given it to you honest and frank - asking just for some pics for my website, all but as a 'return present'.

If you decide to split-up, I kindly ask you again to do that prior the spare part sales - in order to save a document from these rare pieces at least.

Ralf

+1 to what Ralf said.

To Sean:

Dear Sir!

If I wanted to expatiate on this in public, I wouldn´t have sent you a Private Message!!

And: If you seem to be so badly after making profit, I just can´t see why a gain of 150%(!) in this case shouldn´t be enough. And this makes me feeling sorry for you.

If you were talking to somebody else who didn´t know what you paid for both kits - OK. But not under these circumstances.

Just my :2Cents:

Seems as if we got another case of MIJ history being destroyed irrecoverable by - to me - inapprehensible reason.CryBaby

But: There´s one good thing about this I can see (because I´m a positive thinking man:D) - I just saved a lot of money:p
