That would be way cool if you had one !

Rare and quite a cool and substantial mount. That would be the piece du resistance to complete this kit. Dare we dream?

I appreciate you looking around John.

Skink - Thanks so much for those pictures!! Very helpful.

*update* Thanks to 2 fine fellows from this forum I have all the lugs to complete the project I need! Thanks so much JohnL and Jon Petersen. Helping out a complete stranger and newbie around here. Class acts!

Still need to follow the leads on cymbal mount.

Also need to post pictures of floor tom muffler assembly and try to procure one of those. Anyone have one of those?

Watch this space... :)

Considering the finish line (someday) i will want a Star bass drum logo.

DaddyNowhere has a few that he produces that are very cool. I submit these to you for your opinions as to what I should eventually put on my 22" bass drum.

Let me know what you think.

I think the "Star" inside the star is the right one for your kit.

I have dealt with this Forum member on his logos. They are great quality, great value, and he is a straight-up, easy guy to deal with.

I'm with you Skink! But I ordered both anyway (they were so cheap).

Okay, continuing on my quest to complete this kit I am in need of a muffler assembly for the floor tom. Picture 1 and 2 is on the 13" tom. Picture 3 shows what is left on the floor tom - the triangle base - no knurled knob or the chrome-over-plastic throw off. These are cool and the first one of this type I've seen.

Anyhow, if anyone has one or knows where I can get one that would be most appreciated! See attached.

It's great to see your project progressing!

I don't have such spare parts for the 'One touch tone control' of Star.

But beware of the Gibraltar copy of it: it's similar - but not the same.

The switching unit there is different and looks different (it has not the grooved surface on one side, but is blank all over).

Thanks Bryan, and Doug;

Cool kit Doug. Suggest you wait till resto is complete, and apply logo as finishing touch. Will give you time to decide, though either one should look pretty cool, and help make up for lack of badges - (been toying with the idea of trying to produce some adhesive foil badge repros. Not sure how practical it would be, as the die-cutting may be impractical, but I'm working on it)

Star badges would be AWESOME (to quote an overused word). Adhesive backed foil over a thin sheet metal? I've seen companies that will do that but I forget who they are. I suspect you'd have a few folk lined up for those if you produced them - not just the Star folks. :)

Thanks again,

-Doug
