been doing more thinking.....after i get this kit all done and back together to play, the only thing it will be missing is badges. how will these drums be able to be identified if it has no badges??? thinking i might make some but not sure of design yet, i'll do some more thinkig on that. lol.

At this point they're no longer what they were, so may I suggest you have your own badges made, maybe "Joe Cool Drums by _ _ _ _ _ " or "Tie Dye Drums by _ _ _ _ _ ". Since it's been your dream to have a Tie Dye kit "My Dream Kit" would suit. It's your kit, name them whatever you want! Excellent job!

Hey, great pictures!!! They look so cool, so what other great ideas do you have? Nice "girl cave" and yep, that looks like Illinois in the background. Gonna be lookin at corn soon? You can say what you want but personally I think the midwest is the place to be. THe corn feilds are just natural beauty in my oppinion.

Thank you!

thanks jeff, illinois is a beautiful state, it's my home. yep will have cornfields on one side of me and on the other a river and woods (thats natural beauty). what more could ya ask for?

as far as my next idea...got a cup'l stirring up there in my head. i'm wanting to get my camco kit fixxed up. actually it was gonna be my tie dye kit but didn't think that would of gone over to well with some vintage supporters. but what better of a kit...ya'd think with all that hippy music back in the tie dye days that at least one band would of had a kit like mine. lol and of corse am constantly thinking what more i can do with my drums.

am really getting the fever for fishing tho so drum projects may slow down a bit. lol.

thanks mc, been fun doing it and having you guys following along.

?1-hoops? i have been looking them over and would like to do a tie dye inlay, i have enuf fabric to do them but am affraid to try. i'm not 100% sure how to go about doing the inlays. when i do i don't want the fabric inlay to come above the hoop, i want it to lay flesh in the inlay goove. for now i am gonna leave as is and work this out in my head first.

?2-what's next? playing the hell out of my new tie dye kit, lol, and getting my camco kit back to playable condition. got to replace some missing parts to get it going again. will be doing a new thread on the camcos soon.

actually this kit has had me stumped from day one. only part(s) i know for sure is the ludwig tom mounts n arm, becoz they say ludwig on them. as far as the lugs...i think they are pearl lugs, none of them have any markings of any kind on them, some of the rims have tiawan stamped on them. i believe the snare, kick and floor tom are of the same kit. i think that becoz all 3 were painted the same inside, a light coat, kind of a dull greyish green color. then i think the 12 n 13 tom were of another added to the other 3. what has me the most is that the kick does not have any extra holes, the tom mount is original to the shell. the 12 n 13 had different mounts at one time, i think maybe pearl mounts coz there is a bigger hole for the arm to go in. the only other extra holes are on the ft. someone lowered the leg brackets therefor adding one extra hole for each bracket. i'd like to know myself what brand this kit is. i just figured it was one of those rare pearlwig orphan kits. lol. ps are you wanting to clean them lugs from your parts bin?

Yes, I would be interested in cleaning them out of the parts bin if you are still interested. I have 7/8 of the lugs that are on the toms. Send me a PM if you are still interested.
