I love it! Nice to see for real what I imagined! Kudos! Glad you chose this wrap because it has that real SF 60's feel. I'm imagining the Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers or Robert Crumb's "Keep on Truckin'" on the Bass drum head. This has been a fun and inspiring thread for me so far!

From tnsquint

That looks really great Robyn! Really great. How did you create the holes for the hardware?

thanks scott, as for the holes...i used a heated nail to make the holes, i was gonna use a hot iron gun thingy but i guess mine isn't any good, it wouldn't heat up. but anyway the heated nail worked well. instead of poking thru the fabric it melted thru leaving a clean hole and no frays.

i'm not sure if i will tho, i'll know more once i get all the drums covered. if i have enuf fabric left over i may use it to make a new head.

WOW!!! that's so cool!!!!!! Definitely one of a kind!! Looks great so far. Don't worry about finishing for any of us. Take your time. It'll be done before you know it. It's gonna look great when it's done!! Great transformation from Cookie Monster to Flower Power.
