Great job Robyn!!!!!!! You should be very proud!! They look absolutely COOOOOL!!!! I don't think I ever noticed the Ludwig mounts before because I was too busy trying to figure out what the weird material was on there before. Great job. Now have fun playing them!! Maybe take a pic from the back so we can see the snare and floor tom better. Or maybe spread them out a bit so they can be seen from the front.

they are pretty cool, arn't they!? them mounts are the only thing ludwig on this kit, wish it was all ludwig but oh well, just as good as a ludwig in my eyes.

i do have a cup'l other shots that show the snare n floor tom, also my grandson jude, he wanted to be in the pictures too. he likes gramma robyns new drums but he covers his ears when i play them, i wonder if i'm really that bad or if it is just his lit'l ears? anyway....heres a cup'l more photos and once i get them set up in my shed with the cymbals i'll take a few more

Thanks for the additional pics Robyn. I'm glad you did that or we wouldn't have seen those great bursts on the FT and BD. That handsome young man looks fascinated by Grandma's great work! Gotta get him playing!! Judging by the case in the background I'd imagine you have some marksman's ear muffs kickin around for him to use.

Do you know what brand of drums these are? I have about 8 of those lugs in my spare parts bin but haven't been able to identify them.

actually this kit has had me stumped from day one. only part(s) i know for sure is the ludwig tom mounts n arm, becoz they say ludwig on them. as far as the lugs...i think they are pearl lugs, none of them have any markings of any kind on them, some of the rims have tiawan stamped on them. i believe the snare, kick and floor tom are of the same kit. i think that becoz all 3 were painted the same inside, a light coat, kind of a dull greyish green color. then i think the 12 n 13 tom were of another added to the other 3. what has me the most is that the kick does not have any extra holes, the tom mount is original to the shell. the 12 n 13 had different mounts at one time, i think maybe pearl mounts coz there is a bigger hole for the arm to go in. the only other extra holes are on the ft. someone lowered the leg brackets therefor adding one extra hole for each bracket. i'd like to know myself what brand this kit is. i just figured it was one of those rare pearlwig orphan kits. lol.

ps are you wanting to clean them lugs from your parts bin?
