Yes,they are Pearl drums,or at least were Pearl drums.I can't recall ever seeing a wood-finished CB set.The "zola-cote" trunk paint was more common on concert toms than others.

I can grab a 22,12,13,16, in walnut for 100 bucks and they are in good condition. Ten lug bass drum!!..Is that about a fair market price for these?

There was another drummer in my neighborhood, growing up, that had a white set of these drums in the late 70's. Pretty sure they were Pearl made. I remember them sounding great and the guys were playing Grand Funk and similar music. $100 can be bad for a set of these drums, I wouldn't think.

Heck yes ..more than fair if they seem decent

I like the C.B. 700's Definately very Pearl-like

Me thinks MIT rather MIJ but with that

a marked improvement on build quality from the earlier stencil kits we all love to rescue ..I have noticed that my Black C.B. 700 's have the same Pearl Lugs that came on the early Export Kits and a zillion other MIT kits as well.

most C.B. 700 used the hex style "Roger's swiv-o-matic clone" mounting system" as did kits wearing badges like Cortley,Royce,and Jet along with many no name kits as well.

Some C.B.700s like those pictured here used the wrist-watch lugs

The bare wooden kit was purchased for only ten dollars

It originally had a solid metallic blue wrap and the swiv-o-matic tom arms

They were stored in a leaky old storage shed and were loaded with mold which had formed betwen the wrap and the wood

making unsightly black blotches on the shells

The tom mounting reciever on the bass drum was badly pitted and cracked beyond repair as were the hex tom arms themselves

I bought the drums initially to salvage the wrist watch lugs ...but I decided to strip the wraps off along with the foil glue strips (what a job)...

did a little light sanding

and I fitted the base drum and toms with mounts

using the more modern 7/8th downtube Pearl style Tom arms

I cleaned each lug and the hoops and other chrome hardware as best I could

And re-assembled the kit ...leaving the shells naked for lack of a better plan at the time ...The chrome w/blue inlay bass drum hoops were also beyond the point of being usable so I replaced them with some Tama Swingstar hoops that I had hanging around. The white kit is seen just as It was found and is in pretty fair condition the concert style toms are painted inside but not zola coated I have two large black C.B. 700 concert toms on a stand

and they also have no zola coating ....Buy those drums man ...Kenwood

but none the less

that is alot of drum gear for a hundred bucks ..run don't walk guy

Yes that s them, and he says its all original. They did offer a walnut finish according to the literature from this site. I figure the hardware alone is worth a few bucks.

.....and if you want a matching snare (wristwatch lugs), go snag up the one on the GC website for $75.

This is the first time I have ever run into a C.B. 700 kit with anything other than a wrapped finish but on further thought I haven't run into many if any ten lug bass drums with the C.B. 700s either...Great find guy ...Good luck with them ...Kenwood

Kenwood...Thx very much for the advise and support regarding this kit. Its not something i,d normally go after but these days when most have their heads up thier US only butts, these kits sit around un-noticed which actually serves as a favor and can be picked up for very little money. I,ll report on them once i "set it..and forget it"..Excited
