hello, newbie here. been lurking for years in search of info. thanks for all the help guys. you have helped restore and maintain my collection properly.
ok, on to the question.
i have an 5"x 14" COB Rogers Dynasonic snare. it is one of three. one more 5" and my (shining glory) 6.5"! all COB. i want to convert one of the 5" models into a Maple. (transfer hardware from brass shell to new maple shell)\
several years ago i contacted a man named Craig at MDK about making a replica shell for me. Craig kindly sent me a quote. life however didn't allow this to take place at that time. wife, kid, other drums etc. needed attention.
NOW i am ready to build my maple dynasonic! (before i start another drum project) CANT FIND MDK or CRAIG!
please help if you know another drum maker who can build a proper replica of these funky old shells, with the proper .004 snare beds and bearing edges. wrap also. i can drill the shell, and assemble it myself. in fact i absolutely would love to do EVERYTHING myself but... im not as stupid as i am inept. so ill leave that tough stuff to the pros.
thanks!
