thanks for all that info Tommyp. i think i will take the plunge and do a high gloss heavy lacquer interior. i was afraid of going through all the hard work of lacquering the drum and not having any affect on the sound of the end result. if it makes a noticeable difference, i am all for it. i am looking for a unique sound, and i think the BBB bearing edge, combined with the double 45 snare, combined with the reflective lacquer shell, will give my DANOSONIC a very complex sonic character. pics will be along as soon as the drum is in. Craig has told me that the shell will be done around the end of April. ill try to see if i can get a hold of a nice condenser mic and get a decent recording of her as well.
