LOL .. before I got to the last reply, I was going to suggest getting RID OF THAT HIDEOUSLY UGLY NON-LUDWIG dual tom mount, find a piece of scrap wrap and fill the holes as best you can. it could only look better. BTW ... I have a 5 piece set of Oyster Blue pearl Ludwigs circa 71 or 72 (can't remember when I purchased them .. Manny's NYC ). I posted something here about dual mufflers and somewhat questionable quality of the drums from that time

Yup, that piece of crap is OFF the kit. Very cool that you have a one owner set. I am still new to drums (being a guitarist), but I have many years of wood working experience. I have found almost no flaws in my kit. Interiors have a clear lacquer, properly applied. Wraps are tight, minor help needed on one seam. Chrome has come back to life remarkably well. I did notice on one or two of the bearing edges that you can tell where they started to route and where they finished. The rest are fine.

Welcome to the drum forum, the people here are nicest I have encountered on ANY forum.

Surrounded by drummers here! (I am a guitarist.)
