How about Jim Gallager from the Denver Colorado surf band, The Astronauts?

He played a gold sparkle Premier for most of their career, 1962 thru 1967. Once the Beatles all but killed instrumental surf music with their '64 invasion, bands like the Astronauts started doing vocals. The most successful crossover was a band called The Crossfires that became The Turtles...

I've seen this before. Soft Machine were a great band. Sort of melancholy to see RW before his accident. Thanks for sharing this. There is so much good stuff from French TV and other European channels on YouTube.

Thanks again.

I agree that Carls kit for a time with ELP were custom stainless steel, and not an off the shelf kit.I was speaking of his Aisa kit which were Premier resonators.Steve B

Indeed. I saw Asia in '83 and Carl was playing a Premier kit.

Love those Premier kits!

I might be making this up, seeing as you could safely say any British drummer played Premiers at some point or another, but I sort of remember seeing Martin Chambers of the Pretenders playing Premiers with all white hardware.

No more beards!
