once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

Mark,

That is a very cool kit! Very well done.

Going off recent posts, you should at least have some buddies over for a jam night every week...for your health. Cool Dude You could really enjoy that kit then. Just my opinion...

I used to take drum lessons at Wallach's Music City in West Covina, Ca., around the mid-to-late 60's. Sitting on the floor was a Downbeat kit, in beautiful Champagne Sparkle. I'll always remember that kit!

And I also believe there's a picture of you and a certain somone you're taking lessons from??

Its better to have people think you're an idiot, than to open your mouth and prove them wrong, unless you doubt yourself then speak away....

Gary!!!

I believe you're referring to the attached picture? Yep, that's me and Roy Burns, but it was in the late 70's, I believe, at West Covina Music. I printed this picture out a few years ago and drove to Aquarian to have Roy autograph it. Roy is such a cool person. We spent about 20 minutes together!

Forgot to mention that this picture came about as a photographer from Modern Drummer happened into the store while I was having my lesson. He asked Roy if he wouldn't mind being photographed for MD. Heck no!! Roy called me a few months later to tell me that it was in MD! How cool is that?!
