Thanks! I know I'm far from being out of the woods yet but I feel like I have a good grip on it now at this point.

How bout a red crayon that matches or comes close ? Fill in those itty bitty show throughs, then wipe the excess off !! The wax will stay in the seams and color the ever so slight parimeter and shine up too. It`s worth a try !!

They make furniture wax crayons too in many colors for scratches !!

It`s a drum,.....Hit It !!

Those will look great once glued in.

OddBall great tip on the wax crayons. I bet that would do the trick.

I hear they make a sparkle colored glue also. Will give both of these some thought.

Tonight I got my holes all plugged and glued with epoxy. Epoxy is my new favorite tool! The pics of the bass drum look way better than it is but its the best pic I could get at night in doors. I feel pretty good with how these turned out regardless for my first time doing it. I want to do this a lot more! Anyway check it out and Ill have some more pics tomorrow or the next day! I also showed the 13". I did the 13" first to get a feel for the job. Plus it was going to be covered up by the mounting bracket so that worked out well!

Goodnight!

Curtis

Thank you. Like I said though, that pic is inside at night. I know it isn't as good as this picture is portraying it. I just tried to follow poppy's thread and got comfortable with what I had to do before doing it.

Thanks again!

Those look really good Curtis. I think that hole punch you used really made a clean circle of wrap. Nicely done.

That looks fabulous! No one will ever notice those plugged holes, unless you point them out. I read countless threads on plugging holes before I tried it. I practiced on an orphan shell several times before I plugged the holes on my classic snare. Practice make perfect. This is such a good technique, I think more of our friends will be plugging their holes this way. I love the hole punch your wife came up with! Im gnna have to get me some of those!! Clapping Happy2
