This 2001 kit may not quite be 'vintage' but it has nonetheless been unwrapped and refinished. I'm currently refinishing a 1994 RBS-1 kit and will post pictures of it when done. The pictures here are before and after shots of my RadialPro 501 kit which I found in the local music shop in March 2009. I added two more toms in October 2010 (unfortunately wrapped in a different colour) and decided to remove the wraps, stain and clear-coat the entire kit in March 2011. The colour may not be to everyone's liking, but I can safely say that it is definitely different and unlike any other kits in the area.

mid-'90s Pearl free-floating, brass-shelled 5"x14" snare
1963 Rogers COB 7-line Dyna-Sonic 6 1/2"x14" snare
I found these old Pacific Drums on CL for a song, removed the wrap and refinished them natural. Really not bad. I actually use them on outside gigs when the weather is iffy. That little snare sounds great.
Also picked up these Premier Resonators for $75 and restored them. 24",13",14" 16". As you can see I configure them a little different.
Then my early 60's Slingerland orphans. Love those. 12"x22" 13" 16".

Here's my attempt at a complete conversion (including re-wrap) of a 60's Ludwig marching snare to a 7-1/4" wooden hoop drum kit snare. My separate post here contains more info on the project.

I had an old, beat-up Leedy Reliance snare re-done in a Mediterranean Pearl wrap for my daughter some time ago. I also picked up a terribly abused Slingerland Avante kit and turned it into a WWII-era "bomber girl" kit in honor of my late father.
Hey vibes, that Slingy kit looks great!! How does that bass sound?
OldSchool...nice job on the Leedy...I love the wrap. But, that Bomber Girl kit is absolutely THE BEST! Wonderful, GREAT!
