I love finding a great vintage drum in pristine condition as much as the next collector but there is a different kind of joy that is even more full filling when you breathe new life into a neglected drum. So I thought it would be cool to show off our re-finished and re-wrapped drums on a thread with before and after pics.

Nice job on those Duco's!!! How in the world did you do that on your own? And EC I used your tips and methods on both the re-finishes I posted! So thanks again!

This snare was found, house painted black,... shell, all hardware & heads. In the end, a Mahogany stain & Tung oil finish give a very natural look.

Here ya go. 3 ply, clear interior Luddies wrapped in Red Oak. What more can I say? Pure classic Luddie goodness. Oh, and yes, that's a Pioneer snare with Rogers COB rims........

60's Gretsch Round Badge 22/13/16 satin flame which had been tragically painted. Luckily almost all of the parts were intact. Rewrapped in White Marine Pearl. Love these drums!
