Can someone find a ride with a comparable sound to this puppy?

Stumbled upon this beautiful beast while surfing ebay. After listening to the soundfile, I fell in love. Only, that's entirely out of my price range bahaha. I was wondering if you guys could think of anything that has a similar sound to it...

Thanks.

I almost question if that sound file IS that cymbal, file sounds more like a 20.

However, to find that sound in a more everyday price range, head over to mycymbal.com and start listening to 20"+ rides.

It was pretty dry, sounded like it had a smaller bell and was light so look for those attributes.

Goodluck, I'd also ask this question on cymbalholics to see if on of those guys can tell you....encyclopedic sound catalogs those guys have.

I just recently sold a 22" K Light Ride that, if my memory serves me, sounded quite similar to this one...maybe not as dry though. I believe it must have been on the heavier side of the K Light spectrum because it had a pretty defined stick. You can get on for a little more than 10% of the price of that one. Yes Sir

You could also look at the K Custom High Definition, but I believe they're drier than this one.

I'll be honest, the answer might be going with a Turkish hand made pie. Check them out. There are a few companies out there that make wonderful cymbals. I'm seriously considering that route myself.

The clip sounds great, but I question the asking price. $3400 for a 22" New Stamp? In the current economy?

Check out the Soultone Vintage Old School series 22" crash ride. They have a video on their web site and while not exact, it might be close to what you are looking for and they are very nice cymbals.

thanks everyone for all of the comments! The price is ridiculous in my opinion, but if they want it to sit on feebay for the rest of their lives, let it be!

He's fishing, so make him an offer. Or you can wait until he comes down.

But he's already sold it once you know:
