"D" my guess is late 50's to 1962.I have a set of Olympic drums with that badge i was told it from 1961..On same color W.M.P. Just a side note what you you think about this Hayman snare got it for 125.00?...Mikey

that's a slightly faded version but a great buy. The wraps are pretty poor but that one looks less faded that most others I've seen. The main point is these are great snares. I've got one (below) and I love it. They seem to get $150 - 200 pounds on ebay UK.

Hi. Your Olympic drum has the foil-on-cardboard "transition" badge which I believe dates it to approx 1959/60. It's fairly rare to find one with the badge in good condition as they are so fragile !

I think the piccolo with that badge is quite rare.. (I have a 5" with the same badge)

I think this one is the Discus. They made another slightly deeper one called the Narrow(pretty sure that is correct).

Thanks for that Phil..are there any info on the web about these?? also i am thinking are they quite rare?? its in really good condition and the badge also so really pleased i mananged to get it mate...something different from the usual Trixons !!
