Favorite snare drums: modern and vintage

Loading...

Alright guys, we all love drums...especially those snare drums. Let's hear your current favorite 3 or 4 snare drums...can be modern or vintage. Many of us have a collection, but we tend to lean on some more than others for gigs. And oh by the way, next week my list will be different...but isn't that the fun part? Snares are like toys for big kids.

Here are a few favorites this week:

Anton Fig Yamaha snare

LM402 Ludwig Supra 6.5x14

vintage Radio King 5.5x14

My favourite is my old 1967 Star marching snare, tuned slightly higher with a vintage external Tama damper. For the type of rock I play, I think it is great!

Just a drummer who loves all things about vintage drums! Nothing more, nothing less.

My favorite is the sound king snare that I got with the kit. It is between 1968-1970. It is the only snare drum I have ever owned!

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.
