I absolutely love them! Can you tell us more about them (who don't know) Where do they originate/what year/what are the shells made from?

They're beautiful! I love the staggered lugs and the wrap color has aged/mellowed to perfection. I have a set of Istanbul Sultans along with my Mehmet jazz hats surrounding my kit. I always love seeing Istanbuls in a set-up. Right away I have a good idea what the brass sounds like. Great kit.

Amati Lingalone drums are made in Czechoslovakia between 1960's - 1970's.

Shell are made from Beech with reinforcements rings. They have a beautiful, warm vintage sound.

Hi and welcome! Great drums! My guess is early 60s - later, Amati switched to thicker shells and duller wraps.

Actually, I think it's LignaTone - like "wood-tone."

By the way, Father-42, that's one heck of a cool badge! I've never seen one like that! Maybe it was just on the drums that were exported?

I bought only shell set without snare drum.

Snare drum is Premier Artist Birch made about 2003.

I have second vintage drum set, I upload photos tonight.
