Something new for me to drool over. Those look great. Similar to Premier lugs? Can you post a closer picture of the lugs please.

Amati Lingalone drums are made in Czechoslovakia between 1960's - 1970's.Shell are made from Beech with reinforcements rings. They have a beautiful, warm vintage sound.

Czechoslovakia? Yowza! Kool!

Nice drum, too

Those are pretty dandy as well!

What's the 'communist' bass sound like? DOH

When I wrote "communist" I mean they were made since 1950's to 1990's.

This BD sounds worse than the Amati, but there is no tragedy ;)

Actually, I think it's LignaTone - like "wood-tone." By the way, Father-42, that's one heck of a cool badge! I've never seen one like that! Maybe it was just on the drums that were exported?

Yes, Gilnar - it's my mistake -- I simply copypasted name from text -- you're right, "Lignatone", of course.

I saw this badge only 2-3- times on Amati drums - really, maybe these were fixed only on some export versions shells. The "Lignatone" name is still wellknown for Amati woodwind-instruments.

O-oh!! Never-never seen this my lovely beautiful wrap on Amati !!!

Yes, yes, Phil, you're right -- it was oficially named "M-Sparkling Black-Silver Stripes" for Sonor/Trowa/Tacton ("M-Schwarz-Silber" in German) and variant "Schwarz-Gold" for Tromsa and its brands.

P.S. My wrap revival project is still temporary frozen now, but I hope to continue it again in Feb. :)

George.
