Quality UK made drums imo... I am not an expert, but I'd hazard a guess that they are 1960's vintage. They later morphed into Hayman drums.

I've owned a Carlton "King" 14 x 6.5 snare since the early eighties - great quality and sound. I'd say that this brand is well undervalued. Those drums will be a steal...

Yes they do look cool. The wrap is unique, and I like the fact that they have die cast hoops too. They seem first class to me.

They appear to be very well constructed, and the wrap is definitely unique. If the overseaes shipping expense weren't prohibitively expensive, I'd be in the running for these!

Nice drums. I have a Carlton Dallas London Marching drum. It has gut snares, snares on the batter and reso head - a very well constructed drum. I don't know the exact age of my drum...I think early 70's. The die-cast hoops and heavy chromed lugs are high quality.

I like the look of the drums for sale. I would probably be interested too if I was in the UK.

Here are a few pics of my Carlton "King" snare... 14 x 6.5, chrome or nickel over brass. It has got a serious punch to it! I think it's from the 1930's / 1940's. It really needs a proper clean-up, which I will do one of these days. I particularly love the "art deco" lugs. BTW - I think the Carlton / Dallas brand was taken over by Arbiter in the late 1960's... who then brought out "George Hayman" drums, which later became simply "Hayman", using the old Camco (later DW) style lug design - so that marching snare (nice!) couldn't be from the 70's.

I'd just like to reiterate how good these drums are. I should be up snapping all available Carlton's, but I'm skint! HurtingHurting
