A Must Read C/L Listing

Loading...

From bunnyman

Did you see his instrument website?Lame

Four of the nine responses. Do you know this guy? There seems to be a lot of venom aimed at him from your direction. Why? Admittedly, he's got a strange listing, but this all seems a bit overboard. Contact him or the powers that be and pass on the information. That would be the most healthy option.

I honestly thought his stone instruments were pretty cool. I would imagine they would have some fairly unique sounds. A stone hand drum sounds like it would be a blast to play.

The first thing I thought when I saw this post is that this would be a great kit for C3PO.

Don't know the guy, and don't care to. Nothing personal in this. And I have had my wares I hocked over the 'net picked apart more times than I can count in public forums. It thickened my skin. I got the last laugh in the end...

Yes, people (including me) can be pr***s. But there was so much material here...

Just so many things I noticed in his ad, and frankly so much of it doesn't add up. Every time I would look at the ad, I would notice something even more ridiculous. Each thing I observed deserved another post. And each post got me closer to being a Senior Member. ;)

Maybe the drums he makes are good. But using this ad as his vehicle to sell his "good" stuff makes a hard case for him to sell anything. I would be afraid his stuff would fall apart. But I also wonder if possibly someone posted that crap drum kit in his name to smear him...

Rog- thanks for the concerns about my health, but I am bright-eyed and bushy-tailed.

Yeah- I'm THAT guy!!!

I sent the chap(s) an email at the website quoted in the ad. I was civil and did not critisize. I had a few questions - in particular about the CB/Gretsch relationship.....and I was curious to how the hihat cymbals got decorated.

I could not resist.

Yes, I am the guy who flat out questions the "know-it-all" in the music store, especially when he's spouting B.S. I have no patience for guys like that.

I got a very kirt reply from the seller.

He basically told me to do my homework and that Gretsch does indeed make CB drums:rolleyes: = how can you argue with that.

He did not answer my question as to how the hihat cymbal got "decorated." I didn't even critisize the paint job on the kit for heavens sake!

Speaking of C B's...........

I was lucky enough to hang out with Stanton Moore again last Friday at the Electric Forest Fest flower in Rothbury,Michigan......

After Galatic played,we were talking afterwards, and I asked him what his first drumset was..........you guessed it! A CB-700.........l

He told me he used to call them Crapmaster 3000's!

So,I thought I would see if I could stump him.....I asked him if he knew what the CB stood for......he didn't know,so I told him the answer.......

Carl Bruno!

He then asked what the 700 stood for.....I said I didn't know.......how much Carl made on his first sale? Stanton laughed about that.

I'll have to email him and ask if he knew about the Gretsch connection :-)
