it happened top me but i never thought it would be like this i got asked to bring my down beat to a impromptu 4th get together to play some blues i said ok then they asked me if another drummer could sit on my vintage kit and play sets i totally freaked so i did not do the gig, bummer i wanted to play too ,oh well just not cool

Dang! It sounds like the old bait-and-switch:

Them: "Hey! Could ya bring yer kit down and jam with us?"

Me: "Sure! I'd love to."

Them: "Oh, I was just kidding about the *jam with us* part, but thank you for offering to bring your kit for the other drummer to use. Do you think you could bring your PA and run sound for us, too?"

I would have broken the dude's kneecaps for even asking. Nobody, unless it's Phil Collins, Ringo, or Jason Bonham would even be able to TOUCH my drums, let alone PLAY them without my furry feet and paws wrecking all sorts of HURT on them. Remember- I am a 5' 8" tall rabbit not counting my ears!!!!!!
