Again, thank you oh great one, here is a note harrabey sent me with this email Quote..The ship in the photo is The Queen Mary...On many ocean liners, the musicians wore officer's uniforms, taken on the S.S. Vestris in 1926.......the photo of my Dad gives a little more humanity to the pictures...the single snare drum picture was taken in Columbus, Ohio and the stack of drums photo was at Fort Sam Houston...the dog's name was Beans and he was the drummer's mascot.

The band was The Harry Flaum Orchestra at South Miami Beach in the

1950's..these were public dances at auditoriums and bandshells which attracted hundreds of the older retirees before South Beach became a hip location.
