:( Hey there hawghunter...I don't know that I would have any advice for you, but last week I went through the same problem with a 15 x 12 with that wrap. I had a 1200 watt heat gun, ended up with a 1500 and still had lots of trouble. It cam off in little chunks, like 2x2 in. I was so frustrated, then I settled in with it and got it off, very slowly and lots of time. Took me about 5 hrs. I guess. I got out by the edge so hot it kind of burned, head covered it up, thank goodness. I hope someone has a good way of doing that, that will chime in. I feel your pain !!......Joe

BTW, none of the wood came up with the wrap on mine.

Been my experience you can easily tell when the glue guy at Niles had a bad day or previous evening; the wrap seems to be shot welded to the shell. As mentioned, patience is the most necessary tool and have a wet towel handy in case of combustion. Good luck, it will come off.....eventually!

Thanks everyone for the help! Well,after 4 hours with a heat gun the wrap is history and I did not damage the wood. (getting lotto tickets in the morning) Had to get that wrap really hot to get it off. If anyone is going to do this for the first time, be careful that stuff will catch on fire. I found that out fairly quickly! DOH

A small squirt bottle filled with acetone to apply it locally to the glue bond works also, with the help of a putty knife. PLEASE do this with lots of ventilation.

There's no real easy way to remove laminate. Yes, it sucks!

Nice maple under the wrap! Be sure to get all the glue off or a stain won't go on evenly it'll look blochy.
