Ludwig Mod Orange?

From iDrum4ever

Just came across this post.Nice to see some other Mod Orange fans.I have a late 60s kit I was lucky enough to get a few years ago.I also just finished wrapping somelate 60s orphan basket cases I found on eBay.Very happy with the Jammin Sam wrap. Really does justice tothe original Ludwig wrap. Also seems to be very close to the wrap on the new Ludwig Element SE.Here's the original wrap:Here's my rewrap kit:

Wait so the first picture is an original mod orange kit, and the second one is a kit that you rewrapped in jammin sam's mod orange???

would you mind taking some closer shots of the rewrap by jammin sam?? i'm thinking about rewrapping my drums in his mod orange but i want to see for myself how close they actually are.

the jammin sam one looks so shiny and in your face, like its saying "HEY I'M NEW!" maybe i could let it sit in the sun for a week and make it fade :P :P :P

ALSO you see here:

how the fade is so beautiful and linear, whereas the jammin sam seems much more speckled and dotty? or is that just my imagination? and also, have people had any experience with jammin sam's mod orange fading a bit to make a nicer, more settled looking mod orange, rather than that FLUORESCENT-IN-YOUR-FACE orange?

The new finishes are made of completely different types of materials and will likely not fade for many years and not in the same manner, not at all like the old celluloid wraps.
