Good question! Its my wife's birthday and we're having a party for her at the Jamhole tonight and I have been blowin and goin all day. I will tune it and check it out in the morning, right now I have 6 slabs of ribs on the grille and smoked sausage going on in a little bit.

Atlas plating in houston charged me $125 to chrome the shell.

I ended up giving the guy $20 for a B/O acrolite shell with 7 lugs on it.

I had all the hardware that I took off of the ugliest acrolite in a bag. It took me about 30-45 minutes to put this together. I didn't have to search ebay, VDF, or Drummaker.com. $20 + hardware = about $100 or another acro in my collection. It was fun Y'all! lol

Thanks for resurrecting this thread! I recall your original Acrolite project and it is a beauty! I bought a second Acrolite a few months ago complete except the muffler for $60 with the hope of doing something like this. Now I just need some time to do it. Way to go man!
