From blairndrums

Don't know much at all about Hey Man's!....but,isn't that the same mount they used for the single tom also? Then, someone bought the 13" and extra mount, then added it?

The double mount seems to be different to the single one. But of course they both fit on the sliding consolette style mount. I thought maybe you could just remove part of the double mount and make it a single but it doesn't look like that's the case. I'm with you though, I'd rather play it as a single rack tom set up so I'll work around it.

Super cool score!!! People is starting to realize how nice sounding and looking these kits are! I have my Gold ingot on 9x13,16x16,14x22 and 5x14 matching snare. Im going for my second kit! I just found a Bass drum...looking for the rest of the set!

These drums are so hard to come by,the funny thing on C/L san fran,ca had a 4 piece for 500.00 but the bad thing it was a re-worked set the only parts that were Hayman was the bass legs and mounts and the tom mount and the badges. The lugs were slingerland copys..So sad...Mikey

OK, so here it is, as purchased. The restoration will get underway soon. I have to say, the tom mount system is pretty crazy and deserves its knuckle buster nickname. What were they thinking?

I actually had a play on them, complete with the original Hayman 40yo heads and they sounded pretty good.

I'll update when done.

Yeah, I think it'll have to be a new one though. Can't seem to find any other 18" Hayman bass drums out there let alone hoops.
