Hey Greg Mondozart, I am using Puresound, Blasters, 14", 20 strands on the 14 by 8 snare.

Had them awhile for breakage.

Is 30 strands a better sounding set?

I don't think there is such thing as a "better" sounding set, it's just what I like. BTW, I run 42's on my 402 Supra. I need to try those Blasters one day though.
