Here where I live, there are really no flat straight roads to speak of. I live in the largest gated community in the country and it was built in the middle of a forest in the foothills and mountains. When it snows, it's BAD for driving. Google Earth Hot Springs Village, Arkansas. It's nothing but hills, mountains, and trees with an occasional lake or golf green peeking out.
It's snowing!!!
Who want's snow? I'll ship ya some. Already had 30" so far this year and it's still over two weeks till the first day of winter.
Oh, and does anyone have a spare snow blower motor? Mine threw a rod yesterday. Half done and had to dig out the shovel.

Snow?
Does it look as cool in the flesh as it does in films?:Snow Flake::Snow Flake:
52 years and I've never seen a flake.
One of my aims in life is to one day have a white Xmas, instead of the 40
degree C (aprox 103 degrees F) days we normally get in these parts.

Really? Wow. Yeah, I guess I forget that many people in many parts of the world have never seen snow.
Didn't you Eastern Canadians/Americans get like three or feet of the stuff the other day? Sheesh!
The West Coast monsoon season has official started over in these parts.

Northern Hemisphere Envy. It's treatable. Get yourself to a sweet little town up here and put your hands around a warm cup of cider and a hot oatmeal cookie. Nice. Perry Como singing softly over the cool crunch of the snow under your boots and the small flakes tickling your face as they drift down. Oh man, I really love this season.
Snow for me means 12 hour shifts at JFK, aircraft diversions, stranded passengers, winey airline managers. That can also mean canceled gigs.
And then I get to come home and shovel,, I hate the stuff.........
It snowed down here last year and we went nuts. Don't know how to act when you only see it once a generation. My son told me everyone at his job went out and started having snowball fights. Thats my office.
