Snowing in beautiful Hickory, North Carolina !!
This is as early as I remember it snowing around here since I moved here in '04.
Well.....it's cold here in New England....a balmy 37 degrees where I am right now, the sun is out and shining brightly and we've yet to have any snow. (knock on wood!)
Honestly, I hope it stays that way this winter! :p
What do you guys do down there when it does snow? Do they even have snowplows down there? :p
"were are in the Piedmont the foothills of the appalachian mountains, so we get a good deal of snow, but the fools can't drive in it?"
You are'nt a transplanted New Yorker are you?
Cheers ,BigE

We're up to our ears in snow here in Bohemia! Yesterday we had some 10°C below zero. At least there's gonna be some pretty good frost wine, winegrowers say.
Still no snow up here in New England...rather enjoying this for a change....:D
I miss the snow. I moved here from Buffalo. I loved it when it snowed. Down here, a flake hits the ground and seven cars spin out.
Cincinnati got about 3-4 inches. Not a lot of ice with it, so that makes it easier!
I have owned 3 vehicles in my 27 years: light weight car, rear wheel drive light pick up truck, and now my all wheel drive SUV...I have never been stuck, stranded, or in a ditch when it has snowed!
Why do cities (or people) just shut down with this stuff?!?!
