Just picked up a 59-60 Premier Time Capsole

Title says it all... I love this set! Traded it for a Nashville Slingerland RK snare plus cash.

Started cleaning it up and fixing some minor seam lifts on the wrap.

Sizes are imperial 20, 12, 14 , 16. It came with the orignal cases that have Premier badges on them. All original hardware (pedals, cowbell and seat) in great shape.

Does anyone have any info on this kit? Is it a 1959? (Which model, production date stamp location, etc)

I know that it takes imperial heads. I'm sure this question has been asked many times... does anyone have info on imperial heads?

Thanks! :)

The imperial sizes really make a difference.. even to the eye.

I forgot to mention that I bought it from Boston Drum Center. Great shop... great people. Check them out for vintage and modern needs.

They even created a youtube video of the drum set being played. This sealed the deal for me.

Man that's beautiful~! Hardware is stunning as well. That tom mount is way ahead of the times for back then. This kit is certainly a gem. Congrats and enjoy!

Nice! They look like early to mid-60s.

The pre-international 12" & 16" hoops are slightly smaller.

You can mount standard sizes but the hoops will sit on top of the head collars.

The dealer should be able to order pre-international sizes from Remo, however I believe the selection is limited.

14" s.d. & 20" b.d. accept standard modern heads.

Mine were bought new in 1964 in Rome (image below).

The lug and b.d. claw design was altered in the late 60s. (1969 set in Burgundy pearl below)

Speechless! Those are absolutely incredible - the lugs are such a cool design. What's the story...were they stored away in those cases or have they been just meticulously maintained? Congratulations on scoring a great set.

Man oh man, what a kit! I haven't been at the drum thing for long but I've never seen a cleaner more streamlined hardware design. Stunning drums.

Believe it or else!

I almost pulled the trigger on these when they listed them on eBay last week. Great pick up. Clapping Happy2
