Congrats on one beautiful drum set. Love those old Premire drums, I passed on a kit last year at Music-go-round and to this day wish I had taken them home. Thank you for showing us your drum set.

Nice kit! I never knew there was this much interest in the Premier kits. They have some of the coolest hardware of the time. I have a 60 kit in aqua blue sparkle that I will be putting up for sale if anyone is interested. I would rather see it go to someone here than have to deal with Ebay.
Nice! They look like early to mid-60s.The pre-international 12" & 16" hoops are slightly smaller. You can mount standard sizes but the hoops will sit on top of the head collars. The dealer should be able to order pre-international sizes from Remo, however I believe the selection is limited.14" s.d. & 20" b.d. accept standard modern heads. Mine were bought new in 1964 in Rome (image below).Kenny Clarke, mid-60s; Paris (below)The lug and b.d. claw design was altered in the late 60s. (1969 set in Burgundy pearl below)
Thanks Royal Ace! (great name btw :) )
Ya.. I was thinking early 60's too because the pedals are made of a composite/plastic. Just saw an early 60's ad and it looked just like it.
A standard head will fit the 12 tom (as you mentioned).. but not the 16... as it's 16 5/8. When I tried putting a 16 head on it, the head ring sat on top of the bearing edge. REMO makes heads for it (which I'll buy now while still made). Kit still has the everplay heads on it. The 16's are in great shape.
This is going to be my bop kit!
