Default Ludwig Classic Maple

I think I've made a decision on which kit to buy. Although I prefer vintage drums, I can get this Ludwig Classic Maple kit in a black oyster pearl finish for $1,000 shipped. It's about 10 years old with a 12,13,16,22.

Sounds like a pretty fair deal. If you're used to 3-ply w/re-rings, this set will have a bit more "loudness" or attack in comparison. I think you'll definitely like the sound of the bass.

Build quality is good with the newer Ludwigs, and I think that it also comes with less worry about the care & feeding of a vintage kit.

They have safely arrived! I don't have the 12 set up, but it looks just as nice.
