Well I find everybody's opinions very interesting and valid, but
I think the question itself has migrated towards what do you like
to play. My intention was more targeted to collecting a drumset
from vintage drum aspect. When I first started collecting drums
the bar was lower than it is now. Now I find myself gladly paying
a premium for a drum/drumset that's in very good condition vs
needing to be restored. I just happened to notice the other day
that when I consider a set of drums for collecting that I only consider
a set with a rail consolette. In fact, I recently purchased a NEW
Ludwig Classic set and it had to have a reil consolette too!
