Zoomatic strainer replacement?

Loading...

How does the Presto Plate work? I like the idea of not having to drill my drum.

Thanks,

Eddie

I'm having the same problem with my zoomatic strainer. I'm looking for a replacement as well.

Presto plate has gone the way of the dodo.

Buy another, working Zoomatic, and save your old ones for parts.

From perry

Howdy all,I recently acquired a vintage Slingerland snare with a Zoomatic strainer that's seemingly pretty shot. It loosens up and I have to keep readjusting it. Is this the nature of the beast?I'd like to know if there are any replacement options I could buy that would work more reliably and, here's the hard part, wouldn't require drilling more holes in the shell? The brand/make doesn't matter. Many thanks for any and all assistance!

There was a gum rubber washer inside that dries out and breaks...

The knob can be easliy fixed.....There is a compound where you mix two metals together and they bond or fill holes....cost 4.00.

Let me look at the zoom and Ill get back to you at my e mail site if you need.

I have access to some zooms but they are not cheap.
