Zildjian Trans Stamp ID Help Please

Hello All,

I sure would appreciate some help identifyng the correct era of these two cymbals. I have done some searching and believe these to be both trans stamps but as stated by many in prior posts, there is a lot of misinformation out there regarding these types of old cymbals.

Not interested in buying or selling, I just want to learn more about the types of cymbals I grew up playing back in the late 60's.

The first stamp is from an 18-incher that weighs in at 1115g. It sounds very similar to the 18" type I transition stamp that is in the post "What I Got At The Show" by Drumaholic.

The second stamp is from a 19-incher that weighs in at 1745g. Makes a very nice Crash/ Ride

....but I just wanted to say...those sound like hecka nice cymbals ...I don't think I have ever even heard of an 18" that thin.....!!! [/COLOR]

Those are both early 1950's. I'll bet they're real nice too.

Hi All,Well let me start by saying i don't know alot about cymbals...I have always went by sound,i can recall the days of going to Paiste here in ca[[i had a friend who worked their]]and setting in a room for hours picking out the cymbals i liked the sound of..Anyway to my question today igot a 20" zild. ride in --the stamp looks just like the one posted here,,but it has made in the U.S.A. stamp under the logo,so is this cymbal the same age of the one posted here or is it new than the 50s?? By the way i will be listing it for sale later i just need to know about what age or year it could be from..Thanks guys Mikey
