Zildjian Stencil I.D.

Looking for help identifying a 18" (I believe to be crash) cymbal with a faint Zildjian ink stencil on the underside. The stencil has a handwritten style to it.

There are no stampings or any other markings.

Any ideas as to when and where it was made?

I could post a pic but like I said the stencil is faint and hard to get a good photo of.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

pics will help, we can see the lathing and the profile

could be a pre stamp? Is there a signature or anything under the bell?

Looks like an orchestral cymbal, missing the strap and the other cymbal. The grommet in the middle of the cymbal is the give away.

The ink stamp says its a Zildjian.

Thanks jonnistix for the info. Wish I had the other cymbal. I was curious about the grommet as well. Now I know.

Does the ink stamp indicate a date or date range?
