I thought I found a deal on the cymbal pack online but it turned out it was a typo with the listing but they honored it anyway so was able to get the pack for 250 bucks which was pretty cool.
With all of the holes in them I thought maybe they would feel fragile but they do not to me anyway. They feel like they can take a beating but there really is no need hit them hard as they just top out on volume pretty quickly at maybe half the effort of smacking a crash during a show.
They look way better then the rubber/plastic electronic drum pads and sound way better and feel more realistic then hitting a cymbal with one of those rubber cymbal mutes laid over the top.
They could probably be used for a small stripped down acoustic practice jam but haven't tried yet.
I use them in the garage. I would think using them in a garage or a room with doors closed should work for most folks. There is still sound so you feed like you are playing, just the volume is way down.
