That Armand signature was put on the Armand series (still seen on the 19" Beautiful, Baby) and on the K Con series. I haven't spotted one on a plain K series before. At least I'm presuming that's a plain K series from the rest of the ink, hammering style, etc. I can't see the K Zildjian stamp above the model ink on the top well enough in your photo. Is it a laser version with the serial number giving the year?

or is it a pre laser one? I'm interested to know so that when I get around to doing more K info on my site I'll have that extra piece of information.

Thanks in advance.

Heres a picture of the stamp. To the looks of the serial number it may have something to do with the new millennium (?)[Attachment: 98111]

That's great. Thanks. Not only is it a laser version but this is the third laser stamp I've seen where the serial number doesn't follow the usual two letters at the beginning being the year.

The usual pattern for the year 2000 is for the serial to begin JJ. Like this Avedis version:

List of laser codes: http://black.net.nz/avedis/avedis-by-years.html#LaserYears

The other two non standard ones were said to be specific endorser cymbals, or put down to the operator not keying the right thing into the laser control program. Looks like your one is celebrating the new millennium. Cool.

May I please keep a copy of yours to add it to my site when I eventually get to a page on laser stamp anomalies? Thanks in advance.
