Hi,
Last week I met a guy selling two Zildjian K Istanbul 20 "and 22". I was interested in them and I contacted the seller, he sent me some pictures. Here I began to doubt for the kind of hammering, the shape of the bell .. did not seem k's.. He also sent me photos of the stamp and my surprise was to see the stamp was upside down! (The star was oriented toward the bell, when is always oriented towards the edge of the cymbal ..) Today I went to see them and I am sure they are not original K's .. seem some sort of Istanbul / Bosphorus ... modern cymbals tried to look older, with a forged stamp .. The seller buy them at an antique shop in Turkey, where they sold them as original, he has never attempted to scam me, he thought that was original ..
My question is: anyone here knows this kind of "fake K's"? Someone found a similar case or know someone that has happened to him?
Thank you very much !!
