Vintage K Zildjian Istanbul 16" Crash (1945-49)

This is a beautiful 16" crash with tones of character. The cymbal is in great condition considering it's over 60 years old! Stamp IIa, 1945-49. It has no cracks and no keyholing.

Weighing in at 945 grams it has a very bright and cutting attack with rich, warm undertones.

Selling for £800. Postage and packing is £30 within the UK. Will send elsewhere in the world for whatever it costs to do so.

The cymbal is currently in Plymouth, UK if you would like to arrange a viewing.

Here is a link to a recording of the cymbal, please message me with any questions or for photos of the cymbal.

IMHO you are asking way too much for a cymbal that size.

Thank you for your advice. Sorry I didn't realise there was a separate 'for sale' area, I will re-post in there. I was advised this would be a fair price for the cymbal but I have no experience with such things. What kind of price would you recommend? It does sound beautiful and is in great condition.

Thanks

About $375 to $400 would be about right.

Drumaholic is right on the mark and is the best source for prices. The real value is in the rides, especially the 22's, and to a much lesser extent the 20's The 18's are much father down the food chain. And the 16s...well. Your £800 is around $1260 USD. These days you can get a 20" old K for less than that. You can get an 18" for $500 or $600. Realistically, you looking at closer to around £250. Of course availability in Britain is also a factor so maybe the market for old K's there is a bit higher...or a bit lower.
