Zildjian info 1950s? (40s?) hats

Loading...

Hi. I'm trying to date a pair of Zildjians. One is approx 15 & 1/8", 950g with small centre hole. the other is approx 14 & 15/16", 975g with "modern" centre hole. From what I have seen online, the stamps appear to be late 1950s. Could anyone confirm this for me please ? Also, there is a suggestion from the owner (the widow of an ex-pro dance band drummer) that they might be late 1940s - is this possible with these stamps ? Many thanks in advance for any info ! Having trouble uploading pics so here's a link to them...

stamps appear to be late 50's to me. she may be thinking 40's because of that tag that is dated, but it reads 13" cymbals..

You can't use a hole to date a cymbal. What if somebody had widened it? (which happens all the time by the way)

And that goes for both A. Zildjians (A-holes) as well as K. Zildjians (K-holes).

Only an A-hole would try to do it that way.
