The page doesn't display. Still, glad to hear that Zeppelin won. I had a feeling they would!

The entire circus was just that, It should have never gone to trial.
For all the crap people sling at them for "stealing" blues lyrics, this is awesome. The biggest rock song ever written is Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin, and no one can try to say otherwise anymore.

It's up there with the best. It has all the elements in a song I like:
the slow start, the rocking middle, then the good finish.. (sounds like something else I enjoy I guess...ha!)
Anyway, similar songs n that style that rock are"
Bohemian Rhapsody
Band on the Run
Would love for Page, Plant and Jones to use this to get together and record another album.
and others..

I'd love to hear what Page, Plant and Jonsey could come up with if they wrote together again. If they ever do, they should do a raffle where one randomly selected drummer gets to record a song with them... and we should rig the drawing so I win.

I love Zeppelin but the crap they get for that first album is very much so deserved. I had a rock and roll history class at LCC here in MI. The professor was great and really into LZ and the blues. He played us comparisons of the two versions and they were blatant at best from what I remember. He said the reason there weren't law suits is because those blues songs weren't really copy written then. Pretty crazy! I still love Led Zeppelin. Once they got into their writing groove they were a freight train!

But as it's the blues is the problem really that they took the music or that they were more successful than anyone else? Which do you think it is? I lean a lot heavier towards the latter.
