I found these 2 cymbals for sale (20" rides) and they are labeled as ZBT but they look like vintage zildjians to me. What are your thoughts?
ZBT of Vintage Zildjian
Those don't look anything like a ZBT. ZBT's have a very distinct copped esq color since they are cast. Those look like vintage A's.
Found this photo of a Zildjian A with ZBT's around. Very different finish and look.

that's what I was thinking... I could get each for about $60. I'm wondering if since there is no marking/logo they are just thinking they are zbts.
That could very well be. Some people honestly just don't have knowledge of what certain things are. I'd pounce on those if they are $60 each. Who knows those could have been mixed with some ZBT's and that's where the assumption came from.

OH then it was absolutely mis-labeled and those are A's. These are the same folks that listed an Acrolite as being a 13" diameter shell. GC is great for finding things that people have no clue what it is.

You find some good things. I know at least in the stores near me, it's not always a drummer working in the drum section. Some people really have no clue. That likely came in with zbt's and that's what they called it,lol.

Could be a 70's A. Those stamps are thin and sometimes lightly struck. Add years of patina and they get lost and very hard to see.
Not a guru just havin fun with some old dusty drums.
So I went ahead and grabbed the other 'ZBT'. The pic definitely looks 70s A Zildjian to me, can even see the stamp. We'll see what arrives. I can always return to the local GC.

There are most definitely not ZBTs. The color is all wrong and ZBTs do not have lathing like that. They do not look like B8 rolled cymbals, but more like they're made from B20 ingots
